If the Slovenian Government Office for the Support and Integration of Migrants (the Office) has available accommodation facilities at its disposal, you shall be allowed to stay in one of the integration houses in Ljubljana or Maribor or in other accommodation facilities of the Office for a maximum period of one year from the date of obtaining the status. During this period, your family members who have obtained a residence permit under the right to family reunification are also entitled to stay in an integration house or other accommodation facility provided by the Office. The Office Committee may extend your stay in the integration house or other accommodation facility for up to six months if it is established that you are entitled to such extension due to some justified medical conditions or other acceptable reasons.

ACCOMMODATION AT A PRIVATE ADDRESS

If you are accommodated at a private address and you have signed an Integration Agreement, and you do not have your own means of subsistence or are not otherwise provided with secure livelihood or accommodation, you are entitled to receive financial allowance for private accommodation for the period of one year from the date of signing the Agreement. The right to receive financial allowance shall be extended for another year on the basis of the application referred to in Article 90.a of this Act, provided that you have attended at least 80% of the Slovenian language courses and the course on Slovenian society, and have been interviewed by the integration advisor at least once a month.

The period of entitlement to private accommodation allowance may be extended for the duration of your schooling, up to the age of 26, if you became a student or adult learner before the end of the period of one year from the date you signed the Integration Agreement.

You can submit the application to your integration advisor. The financial allowance is paid monthly into your transaction account or, with your consent, into the landlord’s transaction account. If you are unable to open a transaction account, allowance will be paid to you in cash. As a person with refugee status, you are also entitled to receive financial allowance for family members who have obtained a residence permit under the right to family reunification, but only for as long as the right to family reunification lasts.

The amount of private accommodation allowance is specified in the table below. The amount of allowance is determined in accordance with the relevant percentage of the basic minimum income:

1 100%
2 130%
