A residence permit is always delivered in person. If you have submitted your application abroad, your permit will also be delivered there.
If you apply for your first permit abroad, previously providing your fingerprints at a diplomatic mission or consulate in the Republic of Slovenia, and you legally reside in the Republic of Slovenia, you may be served your permit in Slovenia.

If your employer has submitted your application, the permit will be served to you personally (abroad or in Slovenia if you already legally reside here).
As per article 9 of the Rules on the manner in which a residence permit is issued, the method of fingerprinting and the way in which termination of a residence permit is indicated (Official Gazette of Slovenia, no. 82/21 and 17/22) the price of the residence permit card and the certificate of the rights of a border worker is EUR 15,47.
