issued in another EU Member State \u2013 long-term transfer mean and who is it intended for?<\/b><\/p> <p>A foreign national who has obtained a single permit for an intra-corporate transferee in another EU Member State may be transferred to an associated company in the Republic of Slovenia for a period longer than 90 days.<\/p> <p><b>How long is a holder of a single permit for an intra-corporate transferee issued in another EU Member State allowed to reside?<\/b><\/p> <p>A single permit for an intra-corporate transferee for a long-term transfer is issued for the duration of the transfer as specified in the employment contract and the transfer document.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p> <p>The total period of residence of the foreign national in the Republic of Slovenia or in the territory of the Member States of the European Community must not exceed one year for trainees or three years for managers.<\/p>         <\/div>\n has-republika-font-family\">\n            <p><b>What conditions must I meet to be able to be transferred to Slovenia as a holder of a single permit for an intra-corporate transferee issued in another EU Member State \u2013 long-term transfer?<\/b><\/p> <p>For the approval of a single permit for an intra-corporate transferee for a long-term transfer, you must meet the general conditions for temporary residence that apply to all foreign nationals as well as the specific conditions for employment or work laid down in the regulations governing the employment of foreign nationals.<\/p> <p><b>General conditions under Article 33 of the Foreigners Act:<\/b><\/p> <ul> <li>a valid passport, the validity of which exceeds the intended period of residence in the Republic of Slovenia by at least three months;<\/li> <li>appropriate health insurance;<\/li> <li>a certificate from the criminal record of the country of origin.<\/li> <\/ul> <p><b>Specific conditions depending on the type of permit \u2013 single permit for an intra-corporate transferee \u2013 long-term transfer:<\/b><\/p> <ul> <li>an employment contract and a transfer document;<\/li> <li>a valid single permit for an intra-corporate transferee issued in another EU Member State;<\/li> <li>proof that the host entity belongs to an associated company;<\/li> <li>proof that the foreign national will perform tasks accommodation is provided for the foreign national or not.<\/li> <\/ul> <p><b>The procedure for submitting the application and documentation generally consists of the following steps:<\/b><\/p> <p>1. Submission of the application with all required documentation at <b>any<\/b> Administrative Unit.<\/p> <p>2. Fingerprint capture process (either at the time of submission of the application or later in the procedure).<\/p> <p>3. The Administrative Unit examines the application.<\/p> <p>4. The Administrative Unit obtains consent for the long-term transfer issued by the Employment Service of Slovenia (ESS). (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ess.gov.si\/en\/jobseekers\/employment-of-non-eu-migrant-workers\/work-in-slovenia\/single-permit?\"><i>In which cases is ESS consent required?<\/i><\/a>)<\/p> <p>5. Decision of the Administrative Unit on the issuance of the permit.<\/p> <p>6. Personal collection of the single permit in the form of a card.<\/p> <p>7. Registration of temporary residence \u2013 once you have the single permit card and are in Slovenia, you must register the exact address, at which you will reside, at the Administrative Unit (<i>How is temporary residence registered?<\/i>).<\/p> <p><b>When will the Administrative Unit refuse a single permit for long-term transfer?<\/b><\/p> <p>The Administrative Unit may refuse a single permit for long-term transfer if:<\/p> <ul> <li>you do not meet the general and specific conditions;<\/li> <li>the maximum permitted period of residence in the Republic of Slovenia or in the territory of the Member States of the European Union has expired;<\/li> <li>an official notification by the employer from the associated company established in another EU Member State regarding the short-term transfer of the foreign national was submitted at the same time as the application for the issuance of a single permit for an intra-corporate transferee for long-term transfer;<\/li> <li>during the procedure before the competent authority in the Republic of Slovenia, the validity of the single permit for an intra-corporate transferee first issued by another EU Member State has expired;<\/li> <li>the period of transfer in the host entity is longer than the period of transfer in the EU Member State that first issued the single permit for an intra-corporate transferee.<\/li> <\/ul> <p><b>Do I have to submit the application for residence of an intra-corporate transferee with a single permit issued in another EU Member State \u2013 long-term transfer in person, or can the employer or host entity do this?<\/b><b><\/b><\/p> <p>You may submit the application with all supporting documentation for the issue of a single permit for long-term transfer yourself at any Administrative Unit. You must submit it within 30 days of entry into the Republic of Slovenia.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p> <p>The application may also be submitted by the host company, but only at the territorially competent Administrative Unit according to the registered office of the company.<\/p> <p><b>Will I receive a certificate from the Administrative Unit when I submit the application for residence of an intra-corporate transferee with a single permit issued in another EU Member State \u2013 long-term transfer?<\/b><b><\/b><\/p> <p>Upon submission of the application, the Administrative Unit will issue you with a certificate that is valid as a temporary residence and work permit until a final decision on the application is made.<\/p> <p><b>What should I do if my application for a long-term transfer to a company in the Republic of Slovenia is refused?<\/b><\/p> <p>If the Administrative Unit in the Republic of Slovenia does not permit you to reside and work in the host company, your employer from the associated company may not transfer you to that company.<\/p> <p>If you have already entered the Republic of Slovenia and started carrying out the long-term transfer, you must immediately, and no later than within three days from the final decision refusing the long-term transfer, cease work and return to the EU Member State that first issued your single permit for an intra-corporate transferee.<\/p> <p><b>Can I extend a single permit for an intra-corporate transferee for a long-term transfer?<\/b><b><\/b><\/p> <p>A single residence and work permit for an intra-corporate transferee for a long-term transfer may be extended under the same conditions under which it was issued. You must apply for an extension in due time, before the expiry of the single permit.<\/p>         <\/div>\n    <\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column js-sidebar-column-target                         <ul>\n<li>The authority of the EU Member State that first issued the single permit for an intra-corporate transferee will also be informed of the decision on the application for a single permit for a long-term transfer.<\/li>\n<li>o Upon submission of the application for a single permit for an intra-corporate transferee \u2013 long-term transfer, you will receive a certificate of submission of the application, which allows you to lawfully reside and work in the Republic of Slovenia.<\/li>\n<li>o If your application for a long-term transfer is refused or your single permit is revoked, you must immediately cease work or training in the host company and leave the Republic of Slovenia without delay, and no later than within three days from the finality of the
