A family member of a deceased person granted temporary protection is entitled to the death benefit if, on the date of the family member\u2019s death, they were entitled to financial assistance or the allowance.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p> <p>The benefit is granted and paid to the applicant as assistance for all family members of the deceased person.<\/p> <p>The minimum income amount is adjusted in accordance with the cost of living in Slovenia. following the death of a family member?<\/b><\/p> <p>You are eligible for the death benefit if you meet the following conditions:<\/p> <ul> <li>You have been granted temporary protection status in the Republic of Slovenia.<\/li> <li>Your deceased family member had the temporary protection status in the Republic of Slovenia at the time of death.<\/li> <li>On the date of your family member\u2019s death, you were entitled to the allowance or financial assistance.<\/li> <li>No more than one year has passed since the death of your family member.<\/li> <\/ul> <p><b>Who is considered a family member of the deceased person for the purpose of claiming the death benefit?<\/b><\/p> <p>For the purpose of claiming the death benefit, the following persons are considered family members of the deceased:<\/p> <ul> <li>the spouse or a person who lived with the deceased in a cohabiting partnership recognised by law as equivalent to marriage;<\/li> <li>children and stepchildren;<\/li>
