All public evidence issued by foreign authorities (e.g. evidence of no criminal convictions, a certificate of education, a birth certificate, a police report, etc.) must be certified. The official language in Slovenia is Slovenian, and the official procedure is led in Slovenian; all certificates and proofs must be translated into Slovene.\u00a0The translation is usually provided by a court interpreter who links the translated text with the original document and equip him with his stamp and signature to guarantee the identity of the translation with the original text. More information about court interpreters is available <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mp.gov.si\/en\/areas_of_work\/justice_administration\/\">HERE<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The confirmation of the authenticity of the signature and stamp or certification of a public document is shown with a stamp or a sticker, called the apostille certificate, which can also be printed on the document itself or on its addendum.<\/p>\n<p>If you are a citizen of a country that is a signatory to the Hague Convention Abolishing the Requirement of Legalisation for Foreign Public Documents, the certification of a public document is carried out by a body designated by your country.
