If you are planning to undertake an internship in Slovenia, you can obtain a single permit for the purpose of doing an internship in so far as you satisfy the relevant requirements; the competent authority in the Republic of Slovenia regulating the employment and work of foreigners shall give its consent to the issue of the single permit. The funds provided by the legal or natural person offering your internship shall also be taken into account to serve as evidence that you satisfy the requirement of sufficient resources.
An application for the single residence permit may be lodged by you or by your employer or contractor, and it shall be filed with a diplomatic mission or consulate of the Republic of Slovenia abroad. The application may also be submitted to the competent authority in the Republic of Slovenia (administrative unit) by your employer.
A temporary residence permit shall be issued for the duration of the internship, but for a period not exceeding one year. During the period of validity of the single residence permit for the purpose of doing an internship, you may be employed by two or more employers on the basis of the consent given by the competent authority responsible for the employment and work of foreigners.
